Two techniques that Sir Fincher uses two film techniques, montage and voice over narration to portray the idea of the power of being an individual. The scene that Fincher uses these two techniques is a montage of shots of characters throughout from the movie doing things from their day to day lives. Benjamin is the one narrating this scene and everyone of the people that is shown throughout the montage are people that have influenced him throughout his life. What Benjamin is saying is that when people are unique they become more memorable, and this scene shows the people around Benjamin that he remembers, they were unique. Fincher is using this idea because he is wanting people to know that being yourself is more memorable then copying others.
